To celebrate our 15th anniversary The Girls’ School of Austin is launching a ’15 Years, 15 Hours Challenge’. Students, teachers, and parents are challenged to complete 15 hours of community service over the course of the 2017 – 2018 school year.
Eligible service hours could include volunteering for a non-profit, helping out a neighbor, caring for the environment, or raising money for a charity. To see a list of ideas visit our 15 Years, 15 Hours Challenge page.
We are kicking off the challenge with a sister activity benefitting victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Participants will keep track of their hours and receive recognition for completing 5, 10 and 15 hour milestones. Each classroom will also keep track of their class hours and the school will keep a running total on a poster in the office.
Don’t forget to snap a photo of yourself volunteering and email Ms. Maher or share with GSA’s Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #GSA15years15hours.
