Your support will not only honor our exceptional art teacher, but it will also help to ensure that future generations of students have access to a high-quality art education. Whether you are able to give a small or large gift, every donation will make a difference. We have set a goal of raising $20,000 in honor of Mrs. Hoover’s 20 years of service here at the Girls’ School of Austin.
In addition, the Irvin-Loughlin family has generously decided to forgo their Capital Campaign plaque to honor Nancy’s impact on the school.  “We were so proud to be part of the GSA Capital Campaign which built a campus that the school deserved. But after reflection on the passion, confidence and skills Nancy imparted on our daughters, we want to honor her in the only way we believe is fitting. The art room will always be Nancy’s art room in our hearts and minds!” says Kathleen Irvin Loughlin, alum parent.Â
We will be presenting the new art room plaque in honor of Mrs. Hoover during her retirement party on May 21st. The arts are an essential part of the GSA experience for each student that has come through her class– whether in the house on Patterson Lane, the old Dill School, the church during the term abroad, or our beautiful new campus. Nancy’s impact on the Girls’ School of Austin cannot be overstated, and we are thrilled that the GSA alumnae families want to honor that lasting legacy through this beautiful gift.
