Tuition Assistance

You could be eligible for Tuition Assistance!

The Girls’ School of Austin (GSA), we are dedicated to fostering a mission-driven community through our Admission and Tuition Assistance programs. We understand that families view tuition as an important investment in their child’s future, and we strive to make this opportunity accessible by offering support through our tuition assistance program. By carefully considering each student’s individual needs and each family’s financial situation, we work to make a GSA education attainable for mission-aligned students and families, regardless of their financial background. We encourage all families who may benefit from assistance to apply.

GSA Tuition Assistance (TA) is a needs based program. We utilize a third-party system, Clarity, that works with our school to analyze an applicant’s financial data. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge.

Tuition Assistance applicants provide information on their financial circumstances through the Clarity portal, and a recommendation is made to GSA regarding the need and a suggested award amount. GSA independently reviews the information and recommended award in order to make a final determination that also factors in the overall pool of funds available for distribution.

GSA’s Tuition Assistance Committee, comprised of a small group of administrators, determines applicant awards. The Admissions department is blind to any assistance that is provided to a family and makes independent decisions regarding placement within the standard admissions process.

All new Tuition Assistance applicants are asked to schedule an appointment with Melinda Madurai, Director of Finance, to discuss the Tuition Assistance process and ensure any questions that your family may have are answered. Tuition Assistance applications for returning families are due January 10th. Tuition Assistance applications for new applicants are due February 1st.  All families may contact Melinda Madurai to schedule your appointment to review the Tuition Assistance process or changes in your financial circumstances.

Please reach out to Neely Michaelis with any other questions you may have!
