We're Listening: Parent Satisfaction Survey

Our Annual Parent Survey is now open, and we’re asking every family to take a few minutes to participate.

This year’s survey is developed by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and customized specifically for GSA. Your feedback is a critical part of how we reflect, plan, and grow; and it directly informs decisions for the year ahead.

The survey takes about 15–20 minutes and will close on May 19th.

Take the survey here: https://survey.nais.org/Respond/biUhl6YcQw41

A few helpful tips as you complete it:

  • If you have more than one child at GSA, please answer with your longest-enrolled child in mind
  • You can complete the survey on any device (best in Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer)
  • Required questions are marked with a red asterisk and must be completed to move forward
  • You can save and return later if needed, just follow the prompts

We’re aiming for full participation because strong engagement reflects the kind of community we are.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. It truly helps shape what comes next at GSA!

Field Day Volunteers

Field Day is just around the corner on Tuesday, May 19th. Coach Sparks is looking for a few brave parents to help with the day's activities. Please contact her if you can help!

Next Year’s Spirit Wear..Revealed!

As is our tradition, we turned to our 7th Graders to help design next year’s Spirit Shirt and they delivered!

During Advisory, students brainstormed the message they want the 2026–2027 school year to represent, thinking about what it means to be part of the GSA community and how they want to show up as leaders.

After lots of ideas, discussion, and creativity… they landed on their final design…

(drumroll, please…)

We love the thought and intention behind the 2026-2027 Spirit Shirt and can’t wait to see it worn proudly across campus next year!

You’ll be able to order your spirit wear in June. Be on the lookout for the order form!

Reminder: Summer Camps at GSA

Just a quick reminder to sign up for summer camps at GSA. There are so many great options to choose from (as featured in recent On the Horizon newsletters)!

It’s the perfect way for students to have fun, stay curious, and keep learning alive during the summer months, all while spending time with GSA’s incredible teachers.

Spots are limited, so be sure to grab yours soon!

Senior Walk Returns to GSA

A true full-circle moment for our students and community is back—Senior Walk is happening on Tuesday, May 12.

High School seniors from the GSA Class of 2022 will return to campus in their caps and gowns to “walk the halls” once more, cheered on by students and faculty to honor where they began and celebrate all that lies ahead.

This group holds a special place in GSA history as the first Kindergarten class on our current campus, and their paths since have been as dynamic as they are impressive. From LASA and McCallum Fine Arts Academy to St. Stephen’s, St. Andrew’s, Westlake HS, and beyond, they’ve made their mark. And now they’re heading off to places like Cornell, Dartmouth, Michigan, Trinity College in Dublin, UC Berkeley, UT, Wesleyan, and more. Some are pursuing architecture, public relations, kinesiology, chemistry and economics—and one is even joining the Washington Ballet while studying at American University.

We can’t wait to welcome them back, celebrate their journeys, and let our current students see what’s possible!

Beyond the Fence: What's Next?

At this time nothing has changed since the Planning Commission's unanimous approval of GSA's CUP amendment application.

As always, we will keep the GSA community updated as more information becomes available.
