Auction Watch: Tie-Dye and Taco Bell

GSA uniforms are about to get a serious glow-up!!

The winning class will join GSA’s fun-loving Middle School math teacher, Ms. B, for a colorful tie-dye party on the last day of school.

Watch as creativity takes over the dress code (with special approval from the Head of School herself!)! Students will transform their official GSA polos into one-of-a-kind tie-dyed masterpieces that they’ll be allowed to wear as part of their school uniform! As an added bonus, each student will also create a reverse tie-dyed black polo—a totally unique GSA look that will also be approved for uniform wear.

No Ms. B experience would be complete without her greatest love… Taco Bell. The party will include plenty of tacos and treats to fuel the artistic process.

This unprecedented experience includes:

  • A private tie-dye party with Ms. B
  • Creating your own custom GSA tie-dyed uniform polo
  • A reverse tie-dye black polo to wear as a special uniform option
  • A Taco Bell feast hosted by Ms. B

And...major bragging rights as the most colorful class at the GSA!!

Summer Camps at GSA

We’re excited to share that we have a few summer camp opportunities on campus this summer, led by our very own GSA teachers! These camps are a great way for students to stay engaged, have fun, and continue learning in a familiar and supportive environment.

Registration is now open through Popsicle (the same platform we use for after-school classes), and spots may fill quickly. Check out camp offerings and sign up here.

One camp we’re excited to highlight:

Join Ms. Harris for a week of creativity and fun at her Junie B. Jones Summer Reading & Creator Camp! From 9:00–3:00 each day, campers will dive into a different Junie B. Jones book and bring the stories to life through art projects, creative writing, STEM challenges, makerspace fun, and more. It’s a week full of imagination, laughter, and just the right amount of summer adventure.

Open to current 1st–3rd graders
Cost: $390 (includes tuition, daily snack, and all supplies)

Note: Over the next few weeks, we will be showcasing other teacher-led camps that will be offered this summer. Be sure to check next week's edition of On the Horizon for the details!

Beyond the Fence - Planning Commission Hearing

The Conditional Use Permit (CUP) amendment process continues to move forward, and we are working toward a Planning Commission hearing sometime this month. At this time, April 28 is a tentative date, pending sign-off from the City’s Transportation Department on the traffic study.

We invite all members of the GSA community to be ready to show up in support of our school once the date is confirmed. This will be an important opportunity to advocate for GSA and for the continued growth of our Middle School program.

We especially encourage our students to attend and share their experiences. Their voices are powerful reflections of a GSA education and offer a meaningful, real-world civics lesson in local governance.

As in past meetings, we anticipate attendance from neighborhood groups and other interested parties. Our focus remains on modeling transparency, integrity, and clarity, and sharing accurate information about our plans.

Once the hearing date is confirmed, we will share more details about how families can participate and support.

Thank you, as always, for the strength and spirit of this community!
