Auction Watch: Protocol: Zenith

When the campus lights go down, the real challenge begins…

The winning Middle School class will take over GSA for an after-hours, escape-room-style adventure led by Mr. Ward, Ms. B, Mr. Dale, and Ms. K. Working in teams, students will crack codes, solve clues, uncover hidden messages, and race across campus to complete their mission.

Every solved challenge brings them closer to the final moment: assembling their gear and launching glowing signals in a high-energy, team finale.

Think: escape room meets night game meets full-on mission mode.

This is not your average class party…

Fast-paced. Mysterious. Just the right amount of chaos.

So the question is:
Which class is ready to take on Protocol: Zenith?

Elevating Our Greatest Asset: The Faculty

At this year’s gala, we will introduce something new — the Phoenix Fund.

Born out of GSA’s strategic plan and rooted in a simple conviction, the Phoenix Fund reflects our belief that the Girls’ School’s greatest asset is its faculty. The teachers who challenge, nurture, stretch, and inspire our girls are the heart of this school; and investing in them is investing in every child who walks through our doors.

The Phoenix Fund is a dedicated initiative designed to elevate and sustain exceptional educators at the GSA, strengthening our ability to recruit, retain, and support the remarkable teachers who shape our girls into confident, self-aware young women. We look forward to sharing more about how this vision will come to life at the See the Future spring gala.

The 2026-2027 School Calendar is Here!

The 2026–2027 Girls’ School of Austin school calendar is now available! Take a moment to look ahead and note important dates for the upcoming year, including the first day of school, holidays, and key community events.

We hope this helps families start planning for another wonderful year at GSA!

Beyond the Fence Returns

Well…that didn’t take long! Beyond the Fence is back with some quick and exciting movement on the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) amendment process.

Last Thursday, the City of Austin issued a comment report on our application, and our responses were submitted to the City the very next day. The project now remains under review by City staff as it moves through the next phase.

Looking ahead, a public hearing with the Planning Commission is anticipated in April. This is much earlier than anticipated. Having the GSA community turn out to this public hearing will be a powerful message to the Planning Commission and to our neighbors.

Speaking of neighbors… as we continue this process, we want to remain mindful and respectful of our surrounding community. Please continue to follow the traffic pattern shared earlier this year—do not turn onto Horn, and instead proceed to Griswold and turn left on McCall.

Thank you for helping us be thoughtful neighbors.

We’ll continue to keep you posted as things progress!
