| Read-a-Thon Results Are In!
Our GSA readers have done it again! During this year’s Read-A-Thon, students across all grade levels logged an incredible 97,496 minutes of reading--almost 10,000 more minutes than their schoolwide goal!
That’s hours of pages turned, characters discovered, new ideas explored, and imaginations stretched. From picture books to novels, poetry to nonfiction, our girls showed up with focus, enthusiasm, and a true love of reading.
Thank you to our students, teachers, and families for cheering them on and making reading such a joyful part of our community. Way to go, GSA! |

Auction Watch: Paddles Will Be Up The Live Auction is going to be electric this year and the teacher-sponsored class parties are already generating serious buzz. Get ready to bid on: -
Retro Rollers and Rhythms (for K-4)
- Masks, Mayhem, and Mystery (Sleep-under for K-4; Sleepover for Grades 5-8)
- Protocol: Zenith (for Grades 5-8)
These one-of-a-kind experiences are always some of the most competitive (and most talked-about!) items of the night. And stay tuned—we’re not done revealing what’s in store. |

Self-Portrait Show Volunteers Needed
Each year, GSA students create individual self-portraits that culminate in a beautiful, school-wide exhibition. It’s one of our most meaningful traditions, especially for our 8th Graders, who are honored with a special retrospective celebrating their artistic growth over the years.
We’re looking for parent volunteers to help bring this special event to life! Opportunities include organizing, setting up and hanging portraits, providing food and beverages, staffing the reception, and helping with breakdown afterward.
If you’d like to be part of this beloved GSA tradition, sign up here.
We’d love your help in making this celebration unforgettable for our girls! |

Beyond the Fence: Looking Ahead
It’s a quieter week on the site development front as we prepare to host a neighborhood meeting on Monday, February 23 at 6:00 PM. At that meeting, we’ll share the site development plans with neighbors as part of our continued commitment to transparency and being thoughtful, communicative neighbors.
Shortly after the meeting, we plan to submit our Conditional Use Permit (CUP) amendment application to the City of Austin and move into the next phase of the process. Onward—with good vibes and steady progress. |

A Joyful Lion Dance at Community Meeting
What a fun and festive Community Meeting we had today with a vibrant Lion Dance performance! The drums, movement, and color filled the room with energy and a wonderful sense of celebration.
A special THANK YOU to a 1st Grade family for bringing this meaningful tradition to the GSA. We’re so grateful for your generosity in sharing it with our community.
May the Lion send us all into the weekend—and the rest of the year—with a little extra luck and joy! |
