Cool Weather Reminder: Staying Warm and In Uniform
As temperatures drop, we want everyone staying warm while still following the GSA uniform policy. Here’s a quick refresher to keep mornings smooth and stress-free:
Bottoms:
Uniform-quality navy blue skirts, shorts, skorts, and long pants are all acceptable.
Sweatpants, joggers, athletic pants, athletic tights, or athletic shorts are only for PE—even if they’re navy blue. We’ve seen some navy joggers lately, and while comfy, they are NOT in dress code.
What does “uniform-quality” mean?
To help clear up confusion around materials and styles:
- 100% cotton or cotton-blend fabric
- Finished seams
- Straight-leg or classic uniform pant styles
- No gathered or elastic cuffs at the bottom
- No drawstrings
- No sweatpant, jogger, or athletic-style materials
Layers on top:
Cardigans, hoodies, and sweatshirts do not need a GSA logo, but must be solid colored.
Small brand logos (about 2 inches or smaller) are okay—no words, large graphics, or patterns.
Leggings:
Can be worn under navy skirts/skorts/shorts like tights (any color or pattern is fine). Leggings cannot be worn alone as pants.
Thank you for helping us keep our uniforms consistent and our students warm!
