Postcards for Grandparents and Special Friends

Today, the girls decorated special postcards with their Sister Groups! These personalized notes have all the information needed to register for Grandparents and Special Friends Day on November 7th.

We are asking that you help your daughter(s) deliver these postcards to their recipients in-person OR address, stamp, and drop them off in the mail over the weekend. Thank you for helping us make this Grandparents and Special Friends Day a memorable occasion for everyone in our community!

Fall Festival: A Celebration of Cultures

As part of our Fall Festival this year, we are including a Cultural Heritage Table to honor the many backgrounds and traditions within our community. We're inviting families to bring a dish that is meaningful to you—your culture or heritage, a recipe that connects to your roots, a tradition you’re proud to share or simply a family favorite. Some ideas could be boeuf bourguignon, bratwurst, samosas, paella, attiéké, kimchi, miso soup, old English trifle, tamales, borscht, meatloaf, carbonara pasta, empanadas, rote grütze and more...

This is a wonderful way for our children (and us!) to share and learn about the many traditions that make our community so special.

Please know this is not a requirement, it is optional for those who are interested. If you would like to participate, we ask that you fill out this form by Wednesday, October, 22nd.

Now's a good time to get your tickets to the Fall Festival if you haven't already!

Parent Survey Open: ISAS Re-Accreditation 2025

In 2016, the GSA went through the rigorous process of becoming accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS). Re-accredition takes place every ten years, and it involves a yearlong process of reflecting on our mission and all the ways we fulfill that mission, including strengths and areas for growth. In addition to writing an extensive report that addresses various areas of the school, such as curriculum, governance, admissions, and administration, the school has to document our adherence to a set of standards set forth by the ISAS.

As part of writing the Self-Study Report, we are excited to gather feedback that can inform our reflection and guide us in identifying areas where we shine as well as areas of growth for the community. For that reason, ISAS requires that we survey our community – faculty/staff, trustees, students, and you, our parents.

The link below will be live between today, October 10, through Monday, October 27. As with the Firebird Fund, it sends an important message about the GSA if we have overwhelming participation, so we hope you will take a few minutes (10-15) to fill it out.
