Spirit Week: March 10th-14th

The week before Spring Break has become our GSA SPIRIT WEEK! With this tradition, we celebrate the joy, creativity, and quirkiness of both our students and staff. It is one of the small ways to remember that it's always a GREAT day at the GSA! This year's theme days are...

Monochrome Monday
Teacher Tuesday (dress like a teacher)
Wacky Wednesday (shirt inside out, wacky hair/hat/etc., wear something in an usual way)
Throwback Thursday (bygone fashion era of your choice)
Vacation Vibes Friday (think attire for the beach, the slopes, travel, etc.)

GSA Talent Show: April 25th!

We’re thrilled to host our annual Talent Show on campus again this year! Grades 3-8 are invited to perform, and all students and families are welcome to attend for a night of amazing talent, great food, and an 8th Grade bake sale.

Since the show falls in the same week as Spring Concerts, we’ve adjusted key dates:

Sign-Ups: March 10–26 (Sign-up sheet in the front office at lunchtime)
Check-Ins: March 31 & April 2 (During PE/Recess)
- March 31: 5th & 6th Grade
- April 2: 3rd & 4th Grade
Dress Rehearsal (Mandatory): April 16 | 3:00–5:30 PM Performers must bring props/costumes and may leave after their act or stay for aftercare (free). Snacks provided!

Performance Guidelines:
Lower School (3rd-4th): One solo or group performance - collaboration encouraged! (max one act per student)
Middle School (5th-8th): One solo and/or one group performance (max two acts per student)

Exciting news—next week, a film crew will be on campus capturing the energy, spirit, and magic of the Girls’ School of Austin for a special video debuting at our Spring Gala! From classroom creativity to campus life, we’re bringing GSA’s story to the screen.

We are committed to honoring media releases and ensuring the privacy of students without one. Our crew will be mindful of guidelines, so every girl feels comfortable and protected.

GSA & Amplify Austin: A 24-Hour Giving Opportunity

On March 5-6th, the Girls’ School of Austin is excited to participate in Amplify Austin, the city’s 24-hour giving campaign! While our primary fundraising efforts focus on the Firebird Fund in the Fall and the Gala in the Spring, we appreciate any support from those who wish to give during this community-wide day of generosity.
