Re-Enrollment Moves Online!

Re-enrollment for school year 2025-2026 begins on February 3rd, this coming Monday! We're sure you've noticed that GSA is updating our systems, and we're doing this with the goal to create a more streamlined experience for our families. This fall we moved to Blackbaud, the system where you accessed your child's report card. Re-enrollment contracts and tuition management will be accessed through the same portal. An email will be sent Monday afternoon with instructions on how to access your re-enrollment contract. Contracts are due on Friday, February 28th to secure your child's spot for the 25-26 school year. As always, if you have any questions, or would like to discuss changes in your schooling plans for your daughter, please reach out to our Director of Admissions, Neely Michaelis.

The Power of Partnership

Twelve years ago, in the summer of 2013, the Girls’ School of Austin faced a challenge—relocating to a temporary space without a gym. But in that challenge, GSA’s Coach Sparks found an opportunity!

A beautiful track at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired inspired a simple Facebook post, which led to a life-changing partnership. With the support of Dr. Elina Mullen at TSBVI and an incredible team of educators, 36 elementary students from both schools came together to move, play, dance, swim, and grow—forming friendships that expanded all of our worlds.

Since then, "yes" has been at the heart of our journey. We’ve embraced countless experiences, from Special Olympics and synchronized swimming to parades and performances. Though our school returned to its campus over a decade ago, the bonds we built remain unbreakable. What started as a temporary solution became a lifelong connection, proving that when we open our hearts to possibility, the impact lasts far beyond the moment!

So many students have been touched and transformed by this incredible program.

This is a wonderful reminder that we always have the power to cultivate communities of care and love!

Schoolwide Read-A-Thon

We are once again embarking on our schoolwide Read-A-Thon challenge! From February 3-18, GSA students will be nose-deep in their favorite tomes.

Your child will receive a reading log to track their minutes, but you can also find it here and make a copy for them.

Each grade has set a class goal as we celebrate the joy of reading as a community. Last year we read an incredible 70,000 minutes! Forms will be due back on February 20th in order for the minutes to be calculated in our schoolwide goal. It will be fun to see how much we can read together as a school!

Voluteers Needed for BookFair

Coinciding with the Read-A-Thon is our annual BookFair at BookPeople, February 10-16. GSA will hold its Family Night at BookPeople on Tuesday, February 11th and we still need volunteers.
