Safety Drills Starting Next Week

The Girls' School of Austin is prepared for another strong, safe, and productive year! This is a reminder that our school will be conducting a series of monthly safety drills starting next week. We highly encourage all parents and guardians to review the following document, which outlines our school's safety reminders for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Kindergarten Showcase on September 27

Know any families with a daughter entering Kindergarten? If so, please invite them to our next tabling event! On Friday, September 27 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, the GSA will be joining the Kindergarten Showcase hosted at Westminster Presbyterian Day School. This will be a one-stop shop to get to know different Kindergarten options in the Austin area. If you know any families with a daughter entering Kindergarten, please let them know so we can meet them and share what we love about the GSA!

Save the Date: Tarrytown Pharmacy Vaccine Clinic on October 18

GSA's medical council strongly recommends that all members of the GSA community be vaccinated against seasonal influenza. High levels of vaccination against flu will help reduce the risk of an influenza outbreak at the GSA and will also limit disruptions to on-campus learning due to the overlap between flu and COVID-19 symptoms. The sooner your family is vaccinated, the sooner you are protected against the flu. Please get your flu shots by the end of October!

Tarrytown Pharmacy is returning to the GSA this year for their annual vaccine clinic on October 18 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM. This year, they will be offering both the flu and COVID-19 vaccine shots to students, parents, staff, and faculty. With flu season steadily approaching, please consider signing your family up for a vaccine appointment to protect yourself and others this school year.

Be on the lookout for a sign-up link in the following weeks, but for now, please mark your calendars for October 18!
