Wednesday is the last day of Aftercare!

Last Day of School: Thursday, May 23rd

Students should arrive at the usual school start time!*

Please wear Monday uniform.

*8th Graders may arrive at 9am.

As usual, younger siblings should be picked up during the designated time for the older sibling. 

GSA Yearbook 2023-2024

Each GSA student receives a yearbook at the end of the year. We will be passing these out next Wednesday. Students will get together with the Eighth Graders to sign on Wednesday, then with other classes on Thursday morning. They will be keeping their yearbooks here at school until Thursday and then be taking them home.

Summer Packets Available Now!

How can we be thinking about next year when summer is only days away? Our hope for your families is that you have a restorative break with plentiful quality time. We are not trying to rush through summer, but we did want to take this opportunity to send out the Summer Packets now to help prepare for next year.

The summer checklist is as follows:

• Review school wide documents & calendar
• Make sure your student completes all summer work by August 13, 2024
• Gather school essentials & instruments
• Review the uniform information and order uniforms for 24-25 (Make sure to visit the uniform closet!)
• Order 2024-2025 spirit wear (optional)
• Log into the GSA portal and make sure your profile is up to date
• Upload signed health forms to the portal (make sure your child is up to date on vaccinations) by July 31, 2024.

2024-2025 Spirit Shirt Design

As is our tradition, we asked our Seventh Graders to help decide on the final design for next year's Spirit Shirt. And the final design they selected is........ (drumroll)

Shirts can be ordered online here for pick up in August.

Spirit Shirts are completely optional, but if you plan to order, please do so by the deadline on July 1st!

Thank you to our Seventh Graders for stepping into their leadership roles and working together as a team to give us a beautiful design for next year!

End of Year Survey

We are asking all GSA families to fill out our End of Year survey. Our students are always learning, and so are we! The information collected from your responses helps us improve our ability to develop confident young women who lead intellectually vibrant and fulfilling lives. When answering questions, if you have (or have had) more than one daughter at GSA, in general please answer with your point of view focused on the experience of your oldest daughter who attended GSA during the 2023-24 school year. This survey takes about 19 minutes to complete, and we are asking all families to complete this survey by May 31st. You can access the survey here. Social Institute- Resources for Families

Summer can be a challenging time when it comes to technology. As we have mentioned throughout the year, the GSA has partnered with The Social Institute this year for curriculum and programming related to social media and technology for students. There are also incredible resources available to all GSA parents! You can read all about our partnership with The Social Institute, including how to access parent resources, here.

Just in time for Summer, The Social Institute has released a new resource: The Family Social Standards Agreement. While every family has a different and deeply personalized approach to things like social media, you may find this resource helpful in providing a template and common language that your Middle Schooler has been hearing throughout the year. 

On Sept. 13th, we will host be hosting a workshop with The Social Institute for both students and parents. So be on the lookout for that in the Fall!

Reminder: Strategic Planning Timeline

All year long our community has been engaged in an exciting Strategic Planning process. We wanted to give you a quick reminder about the timeline before we break for the summer. As you know from the timeline we shared at the beginning of this process (password: welovelearning), the Board of Trustees will be voting on the final plan before the end of this Fiscal Year (June 30, 2024). We will spend some time this summer creating the communications pieces for a full roll-out of the plan in the Fall when we come back to school! Thank you so much for your input and engagement over the course of this year-long process. It has been incredible to see our community come together to apply these design thinking and foresight approaches to our unique school and our bright future.
