| Virtual Coffee & Conversation on Tuesday, March 26
Ms. Yacono is committed to providing opportunities for our busy families to take advantage of her Open Door Policy. This is why she is offering her
monthly Coffee & Conversation on Tuesday, March 26 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM via Zoom.
These are come-and-go and very informal. If you'd like to jump on and share a short story or ask a quick question—that's great! If you have a more in-depth question (that's still relevant to the school) you'd like to discuss—that's great, too! If you have questions that pertain to your particular student, we still encourage you to schedule a 1-1 meeting with Ms. Yacono at a later time.
Click here to access the Zoom room for this event. It can also be found on ClassDojo. |

Congratulations Ms. Amy Heaton!
The Desmos Fellowship is a highly-selective initiative that invites a diverse and talented group of educators to shape the industry's understanding of "every student" and their needs—and our very own Ms. Heaton (Middle School Match Teacher) was just accepted into the program!
As a Desmos Classroom Fellow, Ms. Heaton will participate in several learning experiences led by current fellows and the Desmos Classroom Team, impacting the field of education for generations to come. We are so proud of you, Ms. Heaton! |

Eclipse Party Plans for Monday, April 8
We are excited to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event with our students! The week before, we will prep students for the event with the Mobile Planetarium from Stars and Science Austin. Then on the big day, we will have a celebration with special science lessons, sister group activities, crafts, snacks, and a dance party! We are aware that the traffic that afternoon will likely be heavy, so we will be in communication about how to plan for pick-up on that day. We will share many more details in the coming weeks, but for now, we just wanted to let you know that we have big plans in the works!
