GSA BookFair: Start Shopping Monday!

The GSA BookFair is happening in-store and online February 12 - 18 at BookPeople on North Lamar! During this week, 20% of all sales will go towards GSA when you present this flyer or enter GSAFAMILY in the coupon code field during checkout for online orders.

Each teacher has also put together a Teacher Wish List! The books on these lists directly impact your child’s learning here at GSA, whether they are shelved directly into classroom libraries or used in professional development for our teachers. You can find all the lists on our BookFair Site. Thank you for continuing to support our teachers in providing the best education for our girls!

Lastly, be sure to drop by our Family Night on February 13 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at BookPeople! Our students will perform readings of their original work from 6 - 7 PM, and we will also have a scavenger hunt and bookmark decorating contest for the girls to enjoy.

DATE CORRECTION- Health Forms Due August 1st, 2024

Thank you to those of you who have already returned your re-enrollment contracts for next year! You may have noticed that on the Parent Portal Instructions document that we attached, the due dates for the health forms were incorrect. Health forms for 2024-2025 will be due no later than August 1, 2024. We also cannot accept them before May 1st, so please don't upload them just yet. If you have any questions at all about health forms, please reach out to Chandler Yanke.

Community Event- Family Volunteer Opportunity

We are the Girls' School OF AUSTIN, and through our curriculum and Service Learning program, we are always talking with students about what it looks like to be the member of a community. We wanted to share an opportunity for you to put that into action as a family! It's My Park Day is March 2nd! Join your neighbors and friends on Saturday, March 2nd for APF's largest volunteer event of the year! For over 10 years, It’s My Park Day has brought volunteers from across Austin together to improve their local parks and build community. All projects are led by community members to encourage neighbors to come out, lend a hand and connect with fellow park lovers from all walks of life. This is a day many look forward to all year as we celebrate the people and parks that make Austin special! Plus, there are opportunities for ALL AGES! Find parks and register for a project in a park, trail or green space near you.

The committee is hard at work putting together another slate of INCREDIBLE Live and Silent auction items this year. Thanks to the generosity of GSA's friends and neighbors who believe in our mission, several of last year's favorite items will be offered again this year. We also have several exciting new items coming this year, so stay tuned for those!

We are still looking for additional items to add to the lineup! If at any point you have thought to yourself, "I wonder if I should donate _______ as an item for the auction?" --- the answer is YES PLEASE! If you still need help brainstorming some ideas, here are a few suggestions that may help:

Do you have a hobby making something we could feature or a talent you could teach to others?
Gift cards sitting around from the holidays?
Do you have a vacation house you could offer for a long weekend/week?
Are you best friends with the GM of a hotel or a local business owner?
Do you travel thousands of miles a year for business and have extra flight miles that we can package with a destination stay?
