Calendar Update

Talent Show: Due to a variety of factors, the Talent Show has been moved to Friday, April 19th. Please stay tuned for details about this annual GSA tradition as we get closer to the event.

Re-enrollment for 2024-2025

Re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year begins next week and we hope your schooling plans include the GSA! Families will be receiving re-enrollment contracts via email on Monday, February 5th. All re-enrollment contracts are due back no later than March 1, 2024.

GSA Has Heart!

We invite all students to wear red polos and accessories on Wednesday, February 14th to celebrate “GSA has Heart Day!” We hope all students will wear something red to show they have heart! This is not a free dress day, but rather a special uniform day to add some fun to our Valentine's celebrations.

GSA BookFair: Family Night (Volunteers Needed!)
To kick off our annual GSA BookFair, we are hosting Family Night at BookPeople on February 13, 2024 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM! We will have scavenger hunts and bookmark decorating contests, and our very own students will perform readings of their original work from 6 - 7 PM. This event is perfect for book lovers of all ages, so be sure to stop by!

We are also looking for parent volunteers to provide snacks and in-person support for the event, so please consider signing up!

Schoolwide Read-A-Thon

We are once again embarking on our schoolwide Read-A-Thon challenge! From February 2nd-20th, GSA students will be nose deep in a school-wide Read-A-Thon. Your child was given a reading log to track their minutes, but you can also find it here if you need an extra.

Each grade has set a class goal as we celebrate the joy of reading as a community. Last year we read an incredible 55,124 minutes! Forms will be due back on February 20th in order for the minutes to be calculated in our schoolwide goal. It will be fun to see how much we can read together as a school!

Community Event- STEM Girl Day at UT Austin

Lower and Middle School students, families, and educators are invited to join UT Austin for FREE hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fun on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. CT on The University of Texas at Austin campus.

K-8 Participant Registration is now OPEN!

All participants must be registered and must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. Registration remains open throughout the event date.

We are 65 days away from our Spring Gala, and we just want to take a moment to thank our INCREDIBLE Gala Committee. This group has been meeting since September in order to bring this event to life. You may have heard from one of them this week as they reminded the class about Early Bird tickets. And you will continue to hear from them in the coming weeks, so we want to be sure you know who they are!

If you see any of these creative, dedicated, and hard-working women some time in the next 65 days, please thank them for all they are doing to plan the biggest fundraiser of our year. The Gala makes up half of the funds we raise each year to support the school, and it would not be possible without this committee!
