Giving Tuesday Was a Huge Success!

Many of you have likely heard of Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday started just 10 years ago. Today, millions of people worldwide use it as a day to celebrate generosity and goodwill by donating to their favorite causes.

What you may not know is that two years ago, GSA joined in this global movement. We use Giving Tuesday as an opportunity to reach out to our "Friends of GSA" community. This includes our alumnae and their families, former students and staff, Austin community members, and grandparents.

We are excited to announce that this year, our Giving Tuesday campaign met great success for the school! We were able to raise an incredible $17,044 for our beloved GSA! This school has touched the lives of so many over the last 21 years, and we are grateful and humbled that so many people love the Girls' School of Austin as much as we do!

Afterschool Program Registration Deadline Registration for Spring 2024 Afterschool Programs HAS BEEN EXTENDED. The deadline to sign up is now December 21, 2023. We still have space in the following programs:

Middle School:

MONDAYS - Chess Club with Ms. Kira
WEDNESDAYS - Filmmaking Class (there will be a film festival at the end of the semester!)
THURSDAYS - Coding with Python
FRIDAYS - Make sure you sign up for Chamber!

Lower School:

TUESDAY - Drones (Just added!)
WEDNESDAY - Mindful Movement (Just added!) and 1 spot left in Drama Club!
THURSDAY - Hip Hop Dance, Field Hockey, Coding with Scratch, Art Portfolio, and 1 spot left in Cooking!
FRIDAY - Karate, ATX Yoga Girl

The deadline to drop a class is January 19, 2024. No refunds can be given after January 19th. If you have any questions about Afterschool Programs, please contact Chandler Yanke.

Friendly Reminder About Reserved Parking

When you see these reserved parking signs, please be sure to respect them! Families purchase these spots each year at the Gala, and they count on these spots being available when they arrive. A couple times now over the course of the Winter Concerts the spots have been taking by someone else. Please also take a moment to remind any family members you invite to these events as well. These spots will be available to purchase for the 2024-2025 school year as part of the Gala fundraising event in the Spring!
