Submit Your Questions for MS Info Night

Current GSA 4th and 5th Grade parents (rising 5th and 6th Graders) are invited to a Middle School Information Night on Dec 5th from 6:30-8:00pm. Come and learn more about the entire arc of our Middle School program and how it all drives towards our mission of developing confident young women who lead intellectually vibrant and fulfilling lives.

We want to make sure this evening is as informative as possible for you, so we are asking you to submit any questions you may have in advance so we can be sure to answer them! (You can also RSVP at this link if you have not done so yet!)

As a reminder, this presentation is about the arc of our Middle School program as a whole, so the purpose is different from our Back-To-School Night. We look forward to seeing you there!

Afterschool Programs- Spring 2024

The sign ups for Spring 2024 Afterschool Programs are NOW OPEN! (password: welovelearning) We have another incredible list of offerings for the second half of the year. Each class has a cap of how many students may join, and some classes fill up very quickly. All classes will be on a first come basis. The deadline to sign up is December 15, 2023, and the deadline to drop a class is January 19, 2024. No refunds can be given after January 19th. If you have any questions about Afterschool Programs, please contact Chandler Yanke.

A Note About Community Meeting

We wanted to give families a quick reminder about Community Meetings. We love having you all join us on Friday mornings; it is such a special time for us to gather and feel some of that GSA magic. We have noticed several our students' siblings who want to join their big sister and sit with all of the GSA students during Community Meetings, and we don't blame them! It's a really fun place to be! However, for safety reasons we ask that you keep your little ones and any non-GSA students with you. Thanks so much for helping us out with this!

Financial Aid for 2024-2025 School Year

All families should have received an email from our Director of Admissions, Neely Michaelis, regarding the application for Financial Aid. If you feel that you would benefit from Financial Aid, we highly encourage you to apply. We want to make sure that all GSA families, current and future, understand that this resource is available!

In order to be considered for Financial Aid for the 2024-2025 school year, please be sure that you complete the following before February 1st:

Send an email to Neely stating your intention to apply for financial aid
Complete the PFS on-line and submit it to SSS.

Pajama Day- Dec. 21st Thursday, December 21st will be Pajama Day here at GSA! Your student is welcome to wear their PJ's all day as we enjoy a day of learning and Sister Group time-- complete with hot cocoa and marshmallows! We are asking that students wear regular shoes (no slippers please!), and please do not send any pillows or blankets. Also, please note that the 21st is a FULL school day.

If so, be sure to RSVP for our Community Strategic Design Day on January 27, 2024 from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM at The Girls’ School of Austin! As an attendee, you will brainstorm and prototype several ideas we hope to implement in our Strategic Plan, collaborating with members of our GSA community along the way.

We understand and recognize that this is a substantial commitment from our parents, so we are also offering free child care on campus, filled with fun activities and entertainment throughout the day.
