Last Friday, we hosted Grandparents and Grand-Friends a beautiful and memorable afternoon! We felt so proud to welcome guests to the school we all love, and we had a wonderful time witnessing the special bonds between Grandparents and their granddaughters. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with this special day! We have put together a gallery of photos from the day which you can find here.
You can also hear from grandparents, volunteers, and GSA staff about this beautiful day in our newly published story! |

Middle School Info Night- December 5
Current GSA 4th and 5th Grade parents (rising 5th and 6th Graders) are invited to a Middle School Information Night on December 5th from 6:30-8:00pm. A GSA education really culminates in the Middle School experience. All the work done in Lower School is providing students the foundation they need to take off and soar in our rigorous core subjects, music and arts program, and Social Emotional framework. Come and learn more about the entire arc of our Middle School program and how it all drives towards our mission of developing confident young women who lead intellectually vibrant and fulfilling lives. Ultimately, we believe a young woman's place is anywhere she wants to be, and a good education is the best way to get there. Come see how GSA's Middle School program prepares your daughter to get to where she wants to go, in high school and beyond!
Also, this year we are inviting prospective families for the first time. If you have a friend who is interested in GSA's one-of-a-kind Middle School program, please invite them!
This is a parents-only event. The students will have a Middle School Fair during the afternoon on that same day. |

Community Event: Celebrating Native American Heritage Month
The Annual Austin Powwow is a social gathering where many different Native American communities come together for the largest one day powwow in the country. For 30 years, this unique Austin event has featured literally hundreds of Native American dancers, singers, musicians, artists and craftsmen. FIREBIRD FUND UPDATE: Week 6! |
Throughout this campaign, we have talked about how your gifts support service learning, performing arts, events, classroom supplies, field trips--- EVERYTHING! As we head into the final week of our Firebird Fund campaign, we wanted to remind our GSA community about why we NEED the Firebird Fund.
In order to keep GSA more accessible, we do our best to keep tuition manageable. Which means that tuition only covers 85% of the cost of a GSA education.
For the other 15%, we turn to fundraising. That 15% gap translates to about $3,000 per student. Between the Firebird Fund in the Fall and the Gala in the Spring, our community comes together to bridge that gap. Some families can do more, and some families can do less- but we all do something to help!
That is what a community does. That is what the GSA does!
HELP US BRIDGE THE GAP
Let's bring the Firebird Fund across the finish line in a big way! We can't wait to celebrate 100% participation next week. |
