Fall Celebration- Tickets on Sale Now!
GSA's Fall Celebration is back! Each Fall, our community comes back together in September to kick off another year of learning. Families are invited to relax and socialize while students can participate in 40+ activities at Reunion Ranch. Food is included in the ticket price. The strength of GSA is in our community, and this event is intended to strengthen connections within a class as well as across grades. We invite all GSA families, past and present, to join us for this wonderful social event.

OneCall- Please opt-in for texts!
The GSA uses a service called OneCall to text/call for emergency communications. For example, we used this service last year during the school closures due to ice to alert families about the closure. We never anticipate needing to use this service, but maintaining this communication ability is vital. It is important that you opt-in to receive these messages. Please take a moment right now and text the word, ALERT, to 22300. |

Dive into DEIB Literacy & Civic Action:
Join 'Book Bans' Workshop!
Each year GSA offers a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) education opportunity for parents. This year, embark on a transformative journey with our "Book Bans: A Model for DEIB Literacy and Advocacy" workshop! Led by Dr. Lorna Torrado, DEIB and SEL Director, and Esha R. Clearfield, M.A. and M.P.Aff, policy expert and 8th-grade parent, this year-long course beautifully blends engaging select Middle School Humanities texts with insights into nationwide Book Bans. Elevate your diversity literacy, practice the art of difficult conversations, and channel your passions into meaningful civic engagement. Join us for six enlightening monthly sessions followed by a culminating group dinner, as we equip you to make a difference in your community.

COVID 19- Update
Unfortunately, COVID-19 continues to be a concern in school environments. If there is a case of COVID-19 in your child's class, you will be notified by the Head of School. If your child has symptoms, please keep her home until you are able to administer a COVID test with a negative result. If your child's COVID test turns out positive, you will need to keep her home for five days, with the day of the positive test considered day zero. Students can return to school after five days, as long as they have noticeably improved symptoms and have been fever free without medication for at least 24 hours. Students who return to campus after that time will be asked to continue wearing a mask for five days. The other students in the affected class are not required to wear masks during the school day, but we highly recommend that they do, particularly when they are indoors.
Please email Ms. Yacono if you have any questions or concerns. In the meantime, please err on the side of caution. |
SAVE THE DATE! Grandparents Day- November 3, 2023
An email will be sent to all of the Grandparent emails we have on file, but we want to make sure the word gets out to ALL Grandparents and Grand-friends! This beloved event is so special in the life of our school, and we look forward to hosting as many "Grands" as possible! Many more details to come, but for now, please share this date with these special people in your student's life so they can mark their calendars. |
